A MESSAGE FROM OUR TREASURER

Hey all!

Sigma Delta Tau Beta Xi Chapter, is required to pay dues towards nationals and our own chapter every year. I understand money is a sensitive topic but without money, it is really hard to provide the best possible experiences for our sisters. My goal is to help every sister and meet everyone’s financial needs, whether it is offering scholarships through our own scholarship fund, or helping them apply for National Scholarships. I am also here to set up unique payment plans that are the best fit for our sisters. Joining this sorority has shaped me to be a better person and has provided me with life long friendships and sisterhood. I hope the dues breakdown from this page will give a sense of what we do and the events we hold throughout the year. If you have any questions, I am always here to help!

Best,

Jasmine Sun '21

Treasurer of the Beta Xi Chapter of Sigma Delta Tau

National Dues & FInancial Support

For ALL Sigma Delta Tau, Beta Xi Sisters: Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors

Each year sisters pay National Dues: $185, Insurance: $45 and Foundation Fund Fee (FFF): $10. The FFF money goes towards nationals where they donate the money to our philanthropy organizations.  We split these costs into three terms including our chapter fees because Union runs on a trimester system.

For Sophomore New Members:

New member dues: $100 per member and also a $185 initiation and pin fee all go towards nationals and are just for the Fall Term at Union. Including the fees from our Beta Xi Chapter, dues for New Members for the Fall Term come to a total of ~$500.

*Financial Support from Our Chapter*

Scholarship Opportunities: Sisters looking for financial support and have a cumulative GPA of a 3.20 or above can apply for a $50 Scholarship that will be subtracted from their dues.

Payment Plan Opportunities: SDT, Beta Xi offers different payment plans including paying weekly, monthly, our having costume dates of payment. This is a contract designed between the sister and the treasurer to support their financial needs.
